Stedair EMS was developed for the EMS market and is a tri-laminate composed of a Nylon outer laminated to a hydrophilic membrane and backed by a polyester tricot. Originally designed to be a stand-alone product, the Stedair® 123 can be coupled with a suitable liner. An exceptionally durable fabric, the Stedair® 123 is lightweight, waterproof, breathable, and protects the wearer from blood-borne pathogens and viral penetration.

Stedair® 123 exceeds NFPA 1999 (2008 edition) after the required 25 laundering cycles.

Key benefits of the Stedair® 123:

  • Resistance to penetration by viral pathogen (ASTM F 1671 Bacteriophage Test)
  • Resistance to penetration by synthetic blood (ASTM F 1670 Blood-borne pathogen Test)
  • Still effective after 25 laundering cycles
  • Developed to withstand everyday wear and tear

The Stedair® 123 was tested for its resistance to a variety of chemicals and showed excellent protection from the chemicals listed above.

The first column indicates the maximum psi (pressure) at which point the Stedair® 123 will leak after being subjected to the chemical.

The second column indicates that no leakage occurred after subjecting the material with the chemical and then applying 10 psi for 10 minutes.
